How do you catch your call bird magpie?
In the past I've always got one from someone else.
I have tried the likes of making a nest of eggs in the otherwise unbaited Larson trap but not been successful.
Anecdotal evidence of how to tempt a magpie ( or carrion crow) into a Larson trap that doesn't contain a call bird would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
???clam shells
Google them, you can buy them from a firm called "Trapman" or make your own.
Take 2 or 3 hens eggs, slightly crack one just exposing the contents onto a plant pot saucer or similar. Place on top of the trap, place the others unbroken into the pots. No need for any nest material. How do you catch your call bird magpie?
