Hikmicro zero issues any alternative?

The problem is I delete the clips as I find it absolutely infuriating to keep going over them and slowing down the footage. If I have some more occasions where it happens I will save the clips and post them here.

I may try a full reset and firmware update again.

I can't say anything about hik. I haven't owned one.

I've found the dbt zulus absolutely solid. V1 , I haven't got the V2.

I was out night shooting Sika a couple of weeks ago and had a shot of a rifle which was using the Pixfra Volans scope which I found was very good.

Great sight picture and intuitive controls.

Worth a look,

I can't believe I'm reading this post. I have had exactly the same issues! I know full well that I can shoot well and I know that this sounds big headed but I have genuinely just missed a buck yesterday at 70m and in my mind it was in the chiller before I even pulled the trigger. Of recent weeks this is a string of deer that I have missed and it's been causing me to think I'd lost it when it comes to my shooting. I've been thinking that I might be rushing or snatching the trigger or expecting the bang.
I've been back and forth to the range (100m tube) and managed good zero and sub half inch 3 shot groups. I was even thinking that my rifle might of been starting to get shot out! Maybe this explains the mystery 🤔 unless of course I am a crap shot 😆
A Pulsar digital scope fried my brother's brain a few years ago with its wandering zero problems.... he is still a shadow of his former self, he was quite a decent rifleman...

Recently had a very similar issue. I put it on paper and it was about 4" out, so I re-zeroed and went back out, but still missed—although pretty close.

After replaying the footage, the point of impact shifted up on the Y-axis and then dropped back down to centre. I hadn’t even used the BC at that point. Before all this, it had been good as gold.

I thought it might’ve been me, so I had someone else test it on paper today. We did a fresh check and all the mounts were spot on. Then we went for a bite to eat as the battery was low—plugged it in, had lunch, came back, and I thought I’d check it again before heading out.

Same thing happened again—this time it was hitting 2–3" high at 105 yards. Proper puzzling 😕

Also had something strange happen where the scope zoomed in and out right after the shot, really quickly. Bit lost to say the least!

I spoke to the Hik people at the shooting show and they said change the setting from central reticule to fixed (which sounded strange as why have that feature, so i put it down to my explaining the problem and not being totally understood) as I'm also one of those that have had the issue of zeroing and it working fine for a dozen shots then one will be miles off. Then I'll rezero and have to move the settings again. Not user error, and everything is tight as it should be. The parameters get saved as they should. All the software is up to date. Have lost confidence in it now and went back to my old sight mark wraith. Until they (Hik) come up with a fix it's not going back on a rifle.

Did changing it to fixed reticle make a difference then?

I’ll see your both and raise you.

I have S&B, Swarovski and HIK. All are fine for me. Horses for courses really.
I'll go one further .. or maybe 2 ...

I have a Swaro, Hik, Zulu, Pulsar XM50 :)

As you said horses for courses and all do there job...though there is much more to go wrong with digital then glass...but glass is little use at night or in low light compared to digital.

How long have people had issues? Have people listed what firmware they have installed when encountered issues…. Or is it systemic?

Well, maybe do what HIK advise and see what happens. Then, you can report back.
Like others I am happy to say no issues and I have 4 hik scopes. Long May it remain so.
I must be one of the lucky ones also. Have an Alpex 4K LRF from when they came out and never had a single issue with it. Recently got the Alpex pro and its running perfectly. Updated as and when they released them. I do have a note of the co-ordinates of the zero just in case but never needed them.
