MDT field stock

Anyone using one of these, they seem fairly good value for a aftermarket stock. I’ll be interested what the rifle builders think of them. It would be going on a Tikka T3x.
Thanks.. V V

Evening Vulpes.
These mtd field stocks are getting some decent reviews and I am considering one for a future build. There seems to be big differences in price in the UK. Brownels UK are advertising them at £330, OPW are over £400. Not sure why the big difference. In the states they are $300.

I’ve got one on a Rem 700, brought it back from Canada. It’s a solid stock with some nice features for the money. Shoots just as accurately as any other chassis stocks I’ve had on the rifle.

I have 4 of them. 3 Savages and 1 Tikka. The comb is a little narrow and the grip is also narrow for my taste as my hands are big and prefer a chunky grip. Other than that I have zero complaints especially when you get them on Black Friday for $209.

Heavier than the standard Tikka plastic stock.
I'd say about the same as a wooden stock.
I think they are really good bang for bucks.
Added a little more weight, but the benefit of that is a bit more stability on the sticks when it's blowing hard.

I also have just got one from uttings for £279 which seems to be the best price for one supplied to the UK. Mine went into a Howa 1500 with a precision barrel and still lots of room around the barrel channel. My only complaint is magazine is difficult to latch however if I loosen action screws it clicks in perfectly so it’s very close

Haven’t checked if the mag latch is adjustable or not but if it isn’t I’m sure a minor modification to the magazine will resolve it.

Congrats on your purchase 💪
