Just looking into and reading up on the requirements for eligible chiller trailers to help manage deer. Has any one had any experience in this, and recommend a firm selling such a trailer to fit the requirements? Have had a quick google, but would like to hear from anyone if they have got and use such a trailer, the good and the bad!

Many thanks in advance

FWIW, I don't understand the focus on chiller trailers when what many of us need most support with is lardering facilities. I don't want money for a big cold trailer: I want money for an on-site chiller and cutting room, the logic being that, once the deer are in pieces and packed, any suitable refrigerated transport will do.

I couldn't agree more, but sadly we haven't got that. So I am after recommendations on trailers that fit the bill! Although a chiller and prep unit would be much more preferable

Give the guys @Game Larder a shout as they have a grant compliant chiller trailer that has just been released in the uk. It was launched and showcased at the Stalking show this year. You may of seen it by the main entrance. It is a wonderful bit of kit, utilising the Italmodular rail system.

I was looking at the chiller trailers just to be used as a chiller (not for transportation). Being on wheels, they're far easier delivered and put in place. If ever it needs moving, just hook it on and away you go. Once in place, I can then build a cutting room next to it.
A modular room is ok if you have the space to put it.
