Moderators off ticket tomorrow then ..

Hmmm… it depends on how the law is interpreted and on whom the onus is to check whether the buyer has the appropriate authority (FAC/SGC) to posses an S1 moderator.

If the onus is on the seller then I imagine many will still insist on face to face sales to cover themselves, given the new offence relating to a “relevant accessory” which has been created.

If the onus falls on the buyer then I imagine a simple photocopy of FAC/SGC or written statement from the buyer that they are compliant with the law will suffice, similar to how some retailers ship airgun mods in the post currently after confirming with the buyer that they will be used on airguns only
A good while ago when these Fairy light mods first came out there was a run on T8's being sold to fit air rifles with the correct thread on the barrel.

Great news. I'll still be treating them as licenced and Treat them as we treat them now, untill we get official comms from either the licencing authority or BASC.
You can treat them as you want but from tomorrow, they aren't "on ticket". They are however still a licensed part

Subject to any exemption under this Act, it is an offence for a person to have in their possession a relevant accessory unless the person holds a firearm certificate or a shot gun certificate.

Simple answer is no - in the HO Guidance I’m sure it says that moderators are not counted as firearms for the purposes of security so I’d say that they’ll simply be removed at the next opportunity, ie at renewal or next variation. Leaving just the real firearms on the FAC.

So no alcohol under 18 means alcohol is licenced and registered?
