100 grain ELD-VT

The previous barrel on your rifle got to about 2200 rounds and still shot .5moa when it was changed, I just didn’t want to go into a new culling season with that many rounds on the barrel. I found rs70 very easy on barrels with moderate but not stupidly fast loads.
Agreed
52gr RS70 for 2950fps from 147gr ELDM
chopped an inch off it since I got it too.....

Do bullets behave differently over there than they do over here?
A simple search of "ELDM blowing up" will yield pages of results.
A very common saying here is "Friends dont let Friends shoot hornady bullets.
I had no intention of this this turning into a measuring contest, so please, carry on.

So I did google and it seems you’re right, they do behave differently over there, particularly the 147gr 6.5 and the 175 gr .284.

I guess the big difference is you guys have access to custom barrels and different chambering more easily (cheaply) than we do, so far more people are pushing bullets faster from a faster twist than someone over here will be with a factory creedmoor for example. 300,000 RPM and barrel condition being key by the look of things.

I shoot Hornady bullets in .223 AI, .243 and 300 PRC, the fastest being the Ackley pushing a 50 gr v-max at 3650 fps. Same rifle shoots nosler 35 gr varmageddon at 4050 FPS without blowing them up, but it was built for lighter bullets so 1:14.

I’m going to keep shooting Hornadys as they work for what I do with them

A few of the UK F Class lads reported 7mm ELD failures in early batches.

Being I am tight as they are half the price of Burger, don’t shoot them in competition I’ve run them in my 7mm saum without issue. I have done three barrels worth of the 6.5 130gr in my 6.5X47 again no failures.

I think quality control was upped and early issues have been dealt with.
