120 Gr Bullets in the 6.5 Creedmoor

My Ruger American Predator has a 1 in 8" twist and I have a couple of hundred 120gr Speer Gold Dots . Has anybody had any issues with 120 gr bullets with this twist barrel . I was just going to try to develop a load but I was concerned the twist may be too fast.

I use 120gn Sierra Pro Hunters in my 6.5x47 Lapua with a 1:8 twist barrel & they work very well. Also used 129gn Nosler BT with good results in the past too.

I use 120 Sierra Pro Hunters from my Steyr. Insanely accurate. Kills well. ~Muir

I use 120s the most in my 260s and they kill well. My wife loves them. 120 core-lokt over H4350. Wife doesn’t want her mug on the interwebs because of her job.



The dark spot under the left eye along the snout is a broken arrow shaft with the broadhead. Someone was a bonehead and shot it in the head the year before.

Viht list loads for 95 grainers upwards for the CM - they know a thing or two about ammo so you are good to go with 120s - Prohunters are excellent in the 6.5x55SE incidentally.
