Went stalking yesterday morning no deer but a lovely brace of squirrels both at 160 yards with the 6.5 x 55 swed 120gr sierra pro hunter . No runners.

Last Friday we had 20+ 3 x .22lr and a semi auto shot gun. Not a lot about but so wet in places quiet approaches were all but impossible. Also got too sunny so made thermal a bit US.
I have got a squirrel feeder up baited with whole maize.
Next week's weather is looking promising.

I know your not going to believe this but I did this off hand shot today and it paced off at 155. No way was it that far. More like 130 yards or so.

I gave the same rifle as yours to my brother , the Remington pumps are great 22 lr's . Nice .

It's my second. I had one when I was in my twenties and I didn't appreciate it.
They shoot amazingly off hand.

Had a walk around with the wife and she brought the coffee.
A thermal and 12b is really effective for this with less wasted cartridges on drey checking. Five on the photo and one stuck up the tree for a nice afternoon walkaround.

He actually gave it to my lad, but he prefers my Laurona and I have more success with this, so we swapped.
Handy having the sling for carrying whilst glassing or using the thermal.
