I would not bother with stingers or Cci velocitors (or whatever the ultra velocity is called). But the standard High Velocity RWS and Eley type have a lot more thump than sub sonics.
However if you are shooting foxes or other larger animals I would keep the range to 50 yards or so. You can shoot at longer distances but you adding in a big element of risk, given that imperfect shot placement means a wounded animal. A 22 regardless of ammo is really a short range proposition on foxes. Any further it’s really a centrefire high velocity proposition starting at 17 hornet up to deer stalking calibres - I have shot plenty with 243 and 7x57 and they don’t complain.
