223 or 204

I have seven 223's and one 204. As per post #11, my thoughts exactly.~Muir

OH. FYI? The shortages we are experiencing now haven't caught up with you guys yet. The last time it happened, I could get 223 brass and components but got laughed at (an act the Cabelas sales clerk quickly came to regret) when I asked for 204.

ditto to most of the above... 223 has it on availability of guns and ammo for me, hence why I picked one up a couple of weeks ago. Stupidly it was to replace one I should never have sold a couple of years ago

I have a Tikka 223 and a CZ 204. Had lots of vermin with both.

Barrel length on the 223 is 20" and 25" on the 204 which makes a good bit of difference.

A 25" barrel on either using 39/40gr bullets would be good. I prefer my 204 though. Absolute bargain at £450. Had some cracking shots with it and it folds foxes on the spot. ~3,800fps with 39gr Blitz.

The 39’s are devastating at those speeds. Nothing I have shot with them has moved (other than downward) it appears to give 22-250 effects with less powder (in my Tac anyway) and less recoil.
