I have used up what I have had left of my lead ammunition, I am now going to switch over to non lead and reload some. I am going to use 80-85 gr what would you all recommend Horn ,barnes, fox etc. I have quite a bit of vit 160 left and would like to use it up if possible. rifle is a 1/10 twist 20 inch barrel. Any help would be appreciated thanks

Yew Tree 80.5 gr 42.6 gr V-N160 seating depth 72th in my rifle, may well benefit from a little experimentation in another gun. MV 2180fps. Reliably available and very effective.
Usual caveats apply to reloads in your rifle.

Just re read your post fully ! Im using a 26inch 1:8 barrel I don't know how your twist rate will work, phone Yew Tree and ask Richard.

3180fps surely?
I use Barnes 80g TTSX IMR4350 3300 fps 70th off

Barnes ! Though i am getting really good reports of the Sako Blades from a mate who is killing around 1000 reds pa. 270 cal
I have never had a Barnes TTSX fail to do what it is meant to do ie expand and form those blades like a 1/3 peeled banana ! Weight retained is always 100% unless you brake one of the spinning blades off on catching heavy bone on a certain angle 98% dont shed one . 6.5 cal
Just about to load the Hornady ECX for the 223 rem . The E stands for European its just a lighter weight range to suit our regulations and common twist rates . Might be worth a look as your stepping down in weight with copper to get the 243 shooting ? Anyhow Edgars bring them in so we are not facing difficulties in supply ( unlike a lot of ammo etc from the USA under the latest new regs at their end ) .
Personally not a fan of copper that shed bits for deer use but it seems like it might be a fair plan for fox etc that we dont eat.
I add i have had the best run of fast ,clean kills from say 50 - 400 yards with Barnes on all UK species ( mostly Reds ) No Fallow (as i havent any shooting on them) in the time from first lockdown onwards than i ever had . Mainly on Barnes TTSX 100 grain but a few maybe 50 with the 120grain - Light for calibre certainly works ! Send 'em fast though
