Aye aye Jim, that's probably taking the debate a couple of steps too far backwards don't you think, even in semi-jest mode... Here we are at the end of a week where we've had various views, from .30-06s for foxes, roe and muntjac, to 243s that are allegedly too light for UK deer, and me espousing the virtues of a .223 projectile on red hinds and fallow spikers (which didn't even attract criticism, which was interesting). Even I would clobber a bloke trying to shoot a deer with a .172"!
