.300 Win Mag

I used to be indecisive, ..... But,..... Now I'm not quite so sure, ..... The deep deep blue is now to be a soft brown Damascus coloured cerakote, LW tube has been chambered & headed up, original stock to be retained & bedded. Soon,Soon.......

You won't be disappointed Steve , I love mine , makes me smile every time I fire it .
Will you be reloading ?

Well, after the storm of the sister in law's illness arriving, things have eased a little here at home, managed to break in the barrel at Llansillin a couple of weeks ago, now working on load development, at present I'm insisting it feeds on Ramshot Magnum, Mag primers & Hornady interlock 180's, a visit back to Llansillin yesterday yielded some encouraging results,@ 200yds on 80 grains powder, will be changing out the scope & getting a pull weight more suited to me, for further working up in the tenths towards the top book load @ 83.8

I use Ramshot Magnum to feed my 300 WM. Works a treat. I emailed Ramshot for a recipe of max loads etc and they were very helpful, however my rifle would not achieve max powder weight due to pressure.

My rifle likes 79.5gr (just below pressure signs) with the 208gr AMAX. Accurate round achieving less than 1/2 MOA and not pushing it too hard at 2800fps. COL is max magazine length without feed fowling. I also crimp my rounds with the LEE factory crimp and it seems to work for me with producing accurate rounds. With accuracy comes confidence.

Good of luck with your load development.

Cheers Tam, I think when I get a better firing position at Sealand, instead of standing on an empty ammo box, in a pit too deep for me, will help a little with the stringing.:thumb:

I chrono'd my 208gr load on H1000 (max load of 78gr) and was a little disappointed as it came in around the 2700fps mark

After reading all the american forums who swore blind by the stuff and were all getting 2900-3000 out of 26" tubed Senderos I was expecting more out of mine despite the shorter barrel.
Can't complain about the accuracy and now I have some proper MV's I am hoping to combine my newly purchased LRF and recently swapped target turret scope to ruin the day for any Hoodie crows that think they know where they are safe!

.300 Win Mag for hoodies....... Sure you are not a little under gunned lol !

I use one too, 6-25X50 for long range stuff, I rate the glass above the S&B I did use on the same rifle, the only down side is the weight of the thing, and the price they charge for them now days, if you can find one. :???:

Steve, you may want to consider N165. Lovely powder for the .300. My 75 stainless likes 72.5g with 180 accubonds for a mild 2960fps
