A beautiful new knife

Received this morning from @snake_2586, one I commissioned based on one of his blade designs but using Desert Ironwood scales and red liners. I love the blade shape, at just 20mm wide it's narrow enough to sort out a Muntjac back end, but at 5" it's long enough to stick a red stag effectively. A true all round design. I bought it as a present for a friend who has helped me out over the past few months, I hope he will be delighted with it. Thank you Mark.

Now that looks like a lovely shape! Hard to tell from the pics but does the blade have a course texture to it rather than polished?

It's polished, but not to the point that you can no longer see where the belt has been. It's not textured to touch but looks like it could be.

Most of my knives finish up like that, it is as I drawer the blade across the belt, the edge just creates those scratches/scores, they show up a lot more in a photo than they actually are, I can spend a lot more time polishing the blade to get rid of most of them, but for a working knife I don't see much of a determent leaving them.
