Advice please re Rangefinders

Hi all I am looking for a new rangefinder out to 700/1000 Mtrs would like something small and compact and good quality ! What advice can you give please?

Over the years I've had Leupold, Leica and Hawke. They have all proved accurate. Some, like the Leupold, had various facilities besides the rangefinder but to be honest, I never really used them. To me, a rangefinder is just that. If I had to choose again I'd go for another Leica. I passed the Hawke to one of my sons who has had no problems with it whatsoever. Possibly depends a bit on how much you want to spend!

Leica, make sure you get the newer ones that will fit in the palm of your hand and not the box type.

If you can justify it bino/RF combinations are worth a look. I have a Vortex RF which got a lot of use in South Africa and performed well. My mate uses Sig Sauer RF’s and rates them too.
