Has anybody else had any problems with Field sports equipe gun dealer. I bought a Tikka t3x tac a1 6.5 lefty from him. Since then I’ve initially been offered promises that my gun would be ready for shipping within days. Any enquiries would cause a response telling me that the actions were not yet done because he is at hospital. I contacted the FAO in his area and then they wanted the serial number luckily i had it on the invoice. Then suddenly Again I received a response that he is at hospital with his son and that one of his guys will contact me. Its been 3 weeks later and nothing no contact. Stupidly this response was believed. 4 months after paying in full I no longer received any communications from the owner of the gun shop in North Wales. I have since been told he has moved his business to a rifle range due to complications with the building he previously occupied. Sadly the rifle range is now also closed to members with no update of when it will reopen.

I’m sorry to bother you all with my plight but I hope my stupidity will be a learning process that will help others not lose all their money to an allegedly trusted gun dealer.

If anyone has guidance on how to proceed in this type of situation it would be greatly appreciated

Not the one owned by Reg Gizzi? For surely he must now be long dead? Regardless if entered on your FAC then the gun in the absence of any other document (showing you sold it back) is yours. Therefore the first port of call would be a letter to the force area that issues the RFD for Fieldsports Equipe AND a Registered Letter (with proof of delivery online) to the address on your FAC in the Table 2 where the purchase was entered at time of sale.

He was suppose to send it to Brock&norris

Looks like he got the same problem as myself.

This on Pigeon Watch from November 2025 under "Fieldspirts Equipe - Rhyl - closed" reports. Indeed I also made the Gizzi response there too...I'd forgotten that thread.

Anyone know what’s going on with Fieldsports equipe in Rhyl? Says on Google business as temporarily closed… not good as they owe lads money for guns sold.

Hope this helps? At the end of the day a call to the police and a formal complaint may assist you?

Thanks for your help. Will call them tomorrow

This crook, Ian Gwilliam, did the same to me last October, gave him £1600 up front but gun never arrived, many promises that it had been posted, no tracking info supplied never arrived then promises to refund but never did. Took him to money claim and he now has a CCJ, avoided the bailiffs, now the high court enforcers are after him. I don't hold out much hope, I'm a pensioner. He is a very dishonest lowlife, karma will find him.

Hi Mr Grumpy

I managed to do some investigation myself and founded out that he got a pet shop in chester. I went there last week Friday and when i told him who i am he was like a cat on a hot tin roof. End of the day i made him do a refund right there and then.

Make sure you post his name on every forum, Facebook etc you can Tokkie - the bellend needs to be closed down as it sounds like he does this regularly.

Regards,
Gixer
Will do Gixer i did send a dm to a lad on airgun forum as well that had the same problem

The pet shop referred to used to be in Blacon, closed on that site after "A fire".
Seems things are following the fella around, "Ceiling collapse".
The range I believe is the now closed former Hot Air airgun range.
Seems a strange trade to morph into, pets.

Well done. I had to do this to get a refund for a faulty coat at a gunshop after numerous phone calls led to nothing but broken promises. Can't beat turning up and catching these dodgy gits on the hop.

Did you have an issue getting the rifle removed from your fac?
