.......I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to re-fit the DS35's lens cover so it opens to the left (port) instead of to the right (starboard). I'm left-handed, so have to focus right-handed using the ring itself rather than the lever, and having the lens cover on the right makes things more awkward. Any ideas?
It's going on a .243 Tikka T3 which already has quite a thick picatinny rail added for the 008.There's nothing wrong with the included mounts for pcp and rimfire - and almost certainly most centrefire
Cheers

Bough a set that are 56mm high. Recon they are to high? They will be too high in reality.
Thanks for that link to an informative thread. I always tread carefully in the belief bred of experience that applying force is a reliable recipe for instant regret! Looks like I'd better just learn to live with the right-handedness of the front end.I'd be careful if wanting to adjust the lens cap orientation, have you seen this forum thread below? Looks like it might be fragile and not up to removal.
Another new Pard…..
Nice idea but surely the design of the LAMP and LRF means it's just going to snag on everything and get ripped off at some point...especially if we treat the rifles like tools not toys?
If you treat it badly then that's a possibility - and your clumsiness will cost you.Nice idea but surely the design of the LAMP and LRF means it's just going to snag on everything and get ripped off at some point...especially if we treat the rifles like tools not toys?
What distance did you test this at?Can you adjust the position of the laser splash. I'm aware you can move the range box. My splash is too far to the right and down. Had this a day could do with some reticles but so far quite impressed.
From 50 to 300 yards it's even more to the right on 11x mag. This was not on the rifle it was in my hand. What distance did you test this at?
My laser splash is almost level with the centre of the reticule and slightly to the right at distances from 100M to 250M, which suits me fine. Would be nice if it is adjustable though.
