I once had an Anschutz 1717 .17 hmr, the one with the 54 match action and two stage trigger. I have to say it was the most accurate rimfire and best trigger of any rifle I have owned before or after and it was also the first rifle I hit almost every target I shot at regularly.
I only got rid of it and got a .17 rem because I chest shot a fox at 100 yards and when I went to find it , it was not there. The question I would like peoples views on is this.
Are Anschutz rifles more accurate than the other makes like Tikka, Howa Sako etc. I find myself drawn to another in .204 caliber with their two stage match trigger and 23 inch barrel . It seems hard to find a quality rifle with more than a 20 inch barrel in .204 ruger, I don't like American rifles and The Sako and Tikka have 20 inch barrels or only longer in varmint barrels.
