Gold captivates them for sure.I think I've got the GF interested....
I caught her looking at safes online the other day![]()

You don't buy gold as a short-term investment. So if you buy a Brittania at £3180, is it worth only £100 at the bank for currency, if you sell the offering price will be in the region of £2880, how do you sell to even break even?
Got two chains round me neck everyday that I bought for about £300 that are now worth closer to £3000
That’s investing , it took over 30 yrs
Making a fast buck on gold is a non starter unless the numbers are in the 100’s of thousands.
Been watching Wishbone for a couple of years, have some cash invested but just missed the major SP jump.Unless you can drop on with a miner
Have a look at Wishbone Gold - could be a nice earner

I think land in this country has now got too much political risk attached - new and major tax liabilities, the threat if several more and increased risk of having it expropriated by the government or developers without proper compensation. I'd give it a wide berth for the next four years. Labour is too left wing and the civil service and Treasury are riddled with headcases now.I do have a little gold and a considerably more silver, along with some other assets. However as stated early on in the tread, what I really want is some land, its just a bit of a struggle to find a good bit that is close enough to where I want.
At this stage I can't say I'm unhappy with my metal investments though. Much better than the mony sitting the bank getting slowly getting devalued by inflation.
