Anyone else had the Covid jab...

Not quite so simple.
I got offered (By my GP) a jab 3 weeks ago today, (Yep, it would have been on a Sunday) but declined.
I think it depends on your Post Code area when your name comes out the bag. Nor rhyme nor reason in some instances.
Ken.
You declined?

Was being selfish really, thought I’d get to front of queue ;) .
I had a 50/50 chance of getting a placebo or the real deal, I was lucky.
Ken.

haad mine today , first jab, arm a bit sore otherwise A1,
Also got a letter this morning from NHS inviting me to phone up and get an appointment for first jab, told the Doctor who gave me the jab she said that is very common, as virtually everyone she has seen has said the same, not complaining, but what is the cost of sending all these letters out to people who have had the first jab, and it actually. says in the letter, " if you have already had your first vaccine jab" ignore this letter.

My area was looking for volunteers to become NHS vaccinators in new vaccine hubs they were setting up, so I just filled in the application form. We'll see what happens from here!

Probably just means the booking staff work ‘office’ hours while the medical staff complete bookings, arranged in the week, over the weekend. Not unusual, and not really an issue to grumble about.

It annoys me that ‘we’ look for anything to criticise. Neighbours critiqued that mrs had hers am and mr recieved a message pm to attend and ‘why couldn’t they save them two trips’. Like the NHS haven’t got anything better to worry about than individuals household arrangements, they’re simply working through a list (mostly in age order), plus it’s not like the neighbours have got anything better to do both being retired and locked down - they should be grateful for a reason to get out!!

You will be old one day 😂😂😂😂

I've been helping out with patient transfers and car park marshalling at our local vaccination centre this week. On Thursday the woman running it came out at the end of the day and offered me and another volunteer the Pfizer jab as they had doses left over. A wee bit of soreness the next day around the jab site but other than that no ill effects. I was quite taken aback to be asked and very impressed with the determination of the management to ensure that all doses were used.

W G, I got my jab, no thanks to your advice!!. I duly carried out your sister in law's advice, however as I'm stone deaf and can't see two feet in front of me, and the Health Centre is right next door to the Tatooe Shop!!!!!, I stumbled in, next thing is male voice shouted "Patrick over here", and as instructed I did as advised next thing I can recall was being in intense pain, then frog marched to the Meat Wagon, and ending up with a £200 fine, suspended sentence and the face of Chwis Packham tatooed on my arse......... Thanks W G for the advice!!

Patrick

PS, I got my jab, brilliant, military precision

Poor boy. Can’t help but thinking though that your arse before the tattoo was probably a better likeness of Chwis!
