Mods please remove if you think this is not appropriate ...

My wife had £1.00 taken from her account then two lots of £17.99 .
She did not subscribe and seems they will not refund her money.

Just wondered if anyone else has had the same situation as we fine our selfs in some £37.97 out of pocket and no emails to say log in to view.

Please pm me if you have concerns I will be contacting Trading standars and my MP if there is good responce.

Thanks for looking Mods please remove if you think this is against any rules.

Contact your bank. One of many websites that lead you to think you have won a valuable iPhone or similar for £1.
You pay the pound and have ended up subscribing!
Your bank will sort it out. Plenty of information out there if you Google them.

As others have stated get the bank to refund the money and possibly a change in debit card number if it was used. Be wary of such scams and always contact the bank as if you contact the provider, they might trick you into more scams.

Apparently the £1 transaction is the phishing one. Once they establish it’s active they then move in and take further transactions. It happened a while back to a relative of
Mine. As above get onto it straight away. Good luck
There’s was actually taken by e bay or at least it said e bay

Mostly, these things happen it seems after you (or a family member) has been playing a game on your 'phone or other device and an in-game purchase (giving you more lives or whatever) is made. Quite often you don't actually have to enter your card details as your phone might know them already. So you then inadvertently find yourself signed up to a monthly amount. £7.99 it seems tends to be a favourite because it mounts up over time but is small enough to not get noticed and if it is, you might think " oh it's something, that, but I can't think what" and you then move on.

Kids borrowing your phone to play a game on is often the cause. Don't do it! They just press the "ok" button and crack on...
