Arran basc scheme

If you're registered for DSC2 and are on the Island as part of a team of two and the other stalker has DSC1 and DSC2 this seems to be ok going by the BASC website.

Also accepted is Lantra Trained Hunter.

How does this work? I thought you needed DSC2 in order to get on the scheme? I’ve always wanted to go but only have DSC1…

I have my dsc 2 I did it last year on Arran but not on the basc land. Was a private outfitter

I’m on stag week 2 on Dyemill. Can’t wait! I was on the island last year with a private outfitter doing my dsc 2, some big beasts about.
Only thing I don’t have is a thermal.

Best of luck - Dyemill was good for us last week. A 147kg larder weight 8-pointer on the Weds (Bob reckons 30 stone hill weight) and a spiker and a 5-pt on the Friday morning. Weather was too warm and virtually no wind so midge central!

I was meant to of been on the last week of the Hinds back in early February but got cancelled due to covid restrictions. Didn't get back round to booking again this year as had my fee returned rather than roll over! Maybe next year when things are less hectic for me.

Yeah Bob was saying! Unfortunately so far haven’t bagged one, first day ****ed it down. Second day was like pea soup and I made a daft decision to go higher….
Bumped a good sized 10 pointer this morning and never saw a thing this evening. Plenty of hinds and signs of activity, no roars yet.
