B***** Wellies....options

My Aigles have just developed a small split after 22 months; they've been used but not abused, but my request for a replacement pair has fallen on deaf ears.
I've tried many different makes, but none seem to last as long as they once did, and it's as though they have a design life of 2 years max.
I'll continue to use the Aigles for dog walking, but it might be time to buy a pair of proper lace up boots for stalking and game shooting in the hope they last longer. What are the best options under £200?

Ive had two pairs of the British army cold weather boots for the last 10 years. Manufacturer depends on who has the contract at the time. Ive had Karimor and now Iturri Brand new can be bought for circa £100. Don’t let the price tag fool you or the karrimor brand! These are not the same quality of boots sold in sports direct! They are gortex lined and the soles are replaceable. I wouldn’t buy another pair of boots. They are a bit warm for summer that’s the only thing. I’ve abused them and they still keep on going in both cases. Have a look around you may be surprised.

Regards Tom

I shouldn't have waded into this thread, but it's ok as I've got my Bekina steplite X wellington boots on 😂.

They well at least for me my go to boots for most everything outdoors and I never go after deer with anything else nowadays.

Reasonably priced as far as any boots go in fact dam cheap compared to some of the more prestigious offerings.

Never have wet feet or cold for that matter yes they are marketed at farmers but hey if they are good enough for a farmer for 24/7 they are more than good enough for me.

I like these and wear them if i am not walking too far for perhaps a stationary "stalk".
They have very good soles in terms of grip.
around the £70 mark.
i bought them after seeing a recommendation on here.
nice and light too.

I got them for cercia £45 or so I believe you can still get them for £50/60 or thereabouts.

Yes as the name suggests very light, I wear them for long distances over very arduous terrain, as you mentioned grip is excellent.

I did find a pair of insoles that made them much more comfortable.

I love them and are my go to for everything.

As mentioned several times..... Skellerup Quattros.

Not lightweight but warm, comfortable from the off and very well made. There's a reason they are the choice of stockmen. Very good value at just over £100.

I've got a pair of Harkilas, and pairs of warm and cold weather Altbergs too.....but the Skellerups are what I tend to choose to take out with me.

If you did go for them, size down. They are mahooosive fitting.....

If you up against it & the crack is on
the upper ( not sole ) use aquasure
adhesive. Not just for Waders !

Buck.
