Badger vaccination!

It was only a matter of time before we started to see this coming from his Fiance. How long before she who must be obeyed really starts to affect policy in the UK ?

The best laugh for me is the argument being presented by the antis regarding the murder of the poor badgers Nothing mentioned about the 30,000 cattle that need to be put down every year because of the TB issues

Or the disappearance of hedgehogs.

By the end of the 5 years we have left to cull ,most of the country will have had 4 years of culling .From what I’ve seen the population has been hit very hard to what it was .Long overdue and necessary as it was ,what is point of then vaccinating cattle that will cost the earth or was it all part of the plan all along .Reduce the vector then vaccinate cattle .Heard or read something about gov claiming we will be totally Tb free by 2028!.

And if at the end of 5 years the results of the vaccine trials are inconclusive or possibly even negative?

Is it any coincidence that this is being announced at a time when the NFU are proceeding with a JR against DEFRA for the twelfth hour cancellation of last September’s cull licence in Derbyshire, where meddling by No 10 is suspected!

Arnt deer also vectors .Overlooked as they have a value maybe !
I personally think history will look back on the cull in a very negative light .

Goverments are often full of $hit when it comes to delivering on their promises so fingers crossed. ;)
I dont think they will ever be on the general licence.

Are you in an area where bTB is endemic in the badger population and where farming families have been suffering the effects on their cattle and lives for years?

There are already many in this part of the world who are thankful for the reduction in badger numbers, which, because of the special protection afforded them, have exploded out of control over the years

I doubt there’s any negative views from that quarter.

And I’m sure that how many of the great unwashed think it happens!

And along those lines I’d like to see an analysis of cost to the public purse of vaccination versus culling (minus the policing costs due to anti action) - bearing in mind that the current culls are self-financed by the farming community.
