Barrel damage?

Just picked up my first centrefire (Tikka M695 in 6.5x55

upon close inspection, I’ve noticed what I would describe as a small gouge in the muzzle end of the barrel. It’s small and hard to show in picture. I’ve alerted the shop who will contact me when they open next week. Any thoughts on whether this will be detrimental to accuracy? To be clear, I’m not looking for 500m target shooting - this is a functional stalking rifle

That looks like it has chipped off the end of the riffling in the barrel, possibly hot loads with your bullets coming apart while traveling down the barrel, or **** / copper in the barrel, i have seen it on military guns, usually followed by a bollocking from the armorer, referring to cleaning and general misuse etc, and innocent protests all round.
I'm sure a good smith could either re-crown it, or loose a bit and redo the thread. for a 100 yard shoot its very unlikely to make any difference, but get something to remove any fouling /debris and full strip down is probably sensible before you use it again. good luck

This is what i would push for. If they wont then i would get it borescoped in case there is other damage and follow advice of the gumsmith

Appears to be a chip rather than a dint, but extends into the bore by 1/16” or so, perhaps more. Otherwise the rest of the crown itself appears to be really quite clean, indicating little use and or good maintenance.
I wouldn’t accept it, I’d want it cleaned up, and I’d insist on inspecting or having the the rest of the bore and throat inspected to ensure their wasn't any other similar damage to any of the land edges.
