BASC Trophy measuring.

It was mentiond a few good few months ago that the CIC were not going to charge for measuring if the head did not make a medal will the BASC be doing the same and if so will you be at scone palace

They measured a gold water deer for me that a client shot , i collected it from the taxidermist was given a certificate but no medal .19 monyhs later i am still waiting . I to have phoned and the last chap i spoke to was point blank rude , ive lost the outing fee the trphy fee and taxidermy costs it was that or be taken to court by my client . Ive been a basc member for 26 years , its the old regimental tie brigade running the job mate

i have a roe buck sitting at 485g full skull and i will be heading to the CLA game fair to have it measured !

i would not dream of of having any one else but the cic measure it !

i was going to send my big roe trophy to basc , but after seeing this post ive decided to send it to richard proir , im posting it on monday !

fingers crossed for a silver medal !

Jesus Lee,that was a quite a big change to say the least.Six weeks from not dreaming about sending it anywhere but the CIC to going to send it to Basc.DOH.

I for one feel it is incredible that people are still amazed that BASC are as incompetent as they prove themselves to be over and over again,I personally wouldn't let them look over my garden gate! And,when on a forum of Stalkers they are shown to be useless they still don't rectify the problem shows just how arrogant they really are..........SACS are the way forward for less than half the price,and they do the business when you ask!!!!

I did eventualy get a medal , its an awfull colour with a dreadfull picture of a vampire goat on it and another bill for the medal ! never ever again

I also had a 2 year wait for a CWD gold medal. I was told the wait was down to BASC not being happy with the original medal that was struck. In the end i received the medal after a number of calls to complain, but it was the original style medal with the deer that looked like a bit like a pig. I have sent all others since to be measured by CIC. Very Happy with them.

We did have problems with the original medals - thats all been sorted with a new supplier. We have had the new medals for ages- everyone who has been awarded and paid for a medal has been sent one.

To the best of my knowledge we have no medals outstanding, but of course if you know different please let me know and i will do all I can to help.

We did have all sorts of problems with the old CWD, and we did refund the money for that medal ages ago.

Apologies, trouble, but I'm not sure I understand the sequence of events here. Was it the taxidermist who measured your trophy? Who issued the certificate, the taxidermist or BASC HQ? To whom did you pay the initial medal fee?
