Yes you hold the trigger in as you pull the hammer back, and let go of the trigger once the hammer is back, but tbh just cocking the hammer is really quiet,Thank you! Can you cock it completely silently?

As a matter of interest, do you chaps with Bergara B13s have two serial numbers on your FAC entry for your rifle?

Really!? Ok that doesn’t do it for me if so, needs to be the real deal. It’s a shame it’s actually a plastic stock painted to look like walnut!![]()

Alberta boy,Why do I always have to look ? I've found two at a local gunshop for about $450 northern pesos . They're sold as CVA Scouts here but are the same rifle . One's a 45/70 , the other is a 308 . I'm not really looking for either , but I can always get another barrel . Apparently , there's a few after market outfits that have freaky calibers like 38/55's for sale .............. all is lost lol .

Alberta boy,
If the CVA Scout is the same rifle as the B13, the barrels are not interchangeable, unfortunately.

PS. Thompson Encore?
I have just bought the Bergara BA13 in stainless with black stock, have a durasight 1 piece mount courtesy of Mossypaw, lad! I've fitted a 6x42 Swarovski scope and Aimsport Triton 2 compact mod to keep the weight minimal. It is awesome. I love the small size and light weight to it. It packs down into a take down case that makes transport easy. It's accurate with factory ammo and taken two roe already with it. I barely know its there when im stalking and I'm no longer catching my barrel on branches. My other rifle is a Sako 85 in 6.5x55 and the barrel is long with an atec on the end, I'm forever catching either the trees or the ground on it. There's something about the single shot rifles I am starting to love, this one is my pre purchase while saving for a Blaser K95 Black. For the time being i'm mega pleased with it and I'd buy another in .243!
Alberta Boy, I don't suppose you have any way of buying a spare stock and forend for the CVA Scout v2 in camo and ship it to me in the UK? I have tried several gunsmiths in the US and CVA themselves to see if they will ship and I have had no reply or I can't access the websites. They retail over there for around 90 dollars total, but here they want £190!

I'm well pleased with it so far, not had much chance to get out with it due to the weather, had one little vixen about a week ago, i'm not sure if you need to worry too much about the barrel not being free floated, where the forend connects to the barrel is only just in front of the hinge pins, the actual forend doesnt contact the barrel forward of that,How are you getting on with the single shot Bergara?
I already have a really nice .222rem which I use with a digi NV add on but I keep meaning to get a dedicated unit to put on just one rifle. I use my .222 more than any other rifle, so want to keep it as my lightweight walk about rifle but also want to continue .222 for my foxing as i have all the dies and brass etc, not to mention it is a cool cartridge that is just perfect for the job.
So I have kinda singled out the Bergara as a cheapo knock about night time rifle but I was slightly put off by the barrel appearing to be screwed to the action rather than being free floated. Seems you are getting perfectly adequate accuracy for foxing though, so I reckon I might stick a variation in and get one of these. Seems perfect for night time use. Nice and safe and short and pointy.
