The glove itself reduces the waiting time in A and E to almost zero.

Absolutely, I've also found that the "latest stuff" isn't any better than something a little bit older and may, in fact, be a lot less well suited to our fishing as it may have been designed for an American market where there is a whole new line of gear and clothing each and every year. This has sort of started in Europe as well, Harkila seem to be a good example, and if you are willing to buy end of line or stock from last year you can save a fortune.

The best value item out there for fishing/stalking is a surplus British Army windproof smock - you can't beat it and will be much more comfortable in it than in one of the waterproof "boil in the bag" jackets. In really wet weather you can put a waterproof layer underneath it for a while until things dry up again.

I'd really like to know what people think about the solognac treemetrc 600 and 900? Size as expected? Noisy or silent? Waterproof? Warm? And anything else in terms of how well they work for stalking. It's been many years since I've bought any stalking clothing and I have been looking at Solognac as an option.

Have a look at the Jack Pyke range of shooting clothes. I bought some jackets and trousers for working on our farm in and it’s done more work and outlasted brands costing 4x the cost. Very comfortable and fantastic value for money.
