Best (PAYG) mobile phone tariffs?

50 Pom quid....$100 a year with unlimited calls of any sort with 15G`s of net.
I don`t care about the small net allowance as I have my home plan.
My mobile rarely gets turned on but I can cope with two bucks a week.

From Aldi.

I don't know your circumstances but if you are both often within WiFi range and you have smartphones you can call each other using WhatsApp for free.
Unfortunately we are not both on "Smart Phones" and we aren't always within wi-fi range so What's App is of no use to us. I am already on whatsapp.

I am currently with Tesco Mobile and have been for more years than I can remember - On PAYG. Currently the pack that I am on if I pay £10 they give me a free £20 bonus. However with my current circumstances I have had to put £40 on my phone in the last 2 weeks to keep in touch with my wife which obviously I do and call her as often as possible to try to keep her feeling positive and happy. This £40 that I have put on over the last fortnight should have given me £80 in free calls. (I can only get the "bonus" on one set date each month) I called Tesco mobile and they told me that the date I would get my "bonus" would be today. OK that's fine I thought but on checking I have only received £40 in bonus calls, just half of what it should have been. I called Tesco mobile and they said that was the limit but under the circumstances it might be better if I changed my package to their "Rocket Package". This would cost me £10 and would give me 5,000 minutes of call time and 5,000 texts, which seems reasonable.
My question is what do you guys thing is the best "provider" to go with on PAYG to get the best value for money please?

Pete, I have been with giffgaff for 8 years now, SIM only £10 per month, free calls to another giffgaff user 16GB of data, i have never run out,

Keep well

Patrick

Have you tried talk mobile aka Vodafone the work phone left on charge in the motor £14.00 per month with all singing all dancing I’m sure they do one for a tenner mate

Worth a look

I’m with 3 unlimited everything for £17 a month, signal is ok something not the best when I town centre but otherwise no issues

We have sim only contracts with o2 but I keep a 2nd phone on PAYG with GiffGaff, who actually tell you each month (Going off your usage) whether you’d be better with a cheaper tariff.
Giffgaff uses o2 network.
Ken.
It used to cost me 28 pence to text to USA via o2.
Same text with giffgaff (o2 network) was 7 pence.
Kb.
Got my first mobile in’87 and it cost 1K. Calls 50 pence per minute. Once over 60 seconds, if only by 1 second you were charged for 2 mins and so on.

You might be better with a contract, all calls will be included except those to premium rate numbers.
I'm paying about £23 a month to Vodafone and that's with a 10gb data allowance. You can get cheaper if you need less data.
