Hi folks just wondering what you .25.06 users are using powder wise??ive tried rs 70 and vit 165 and it shoots very average?im using 117sst so any info would be appreciated.many thanks

When I had mine I used Varget but as we know thats fairy dust now ,
I also had good results with n165
have a look at the vit/reloading Site :-https://www.vihtavuori.com/vihtavuori-blog-the-n560-for-magnum-calibers/

Depends somewhat on the weight of bullet One uses, but, ....the Nosler 110gn Accubond works exceedingly well with Viht. N560.
My own opinion is .25-06 works best with lighter weight bullets & heavier than 110gn is unnecessary for any UK deer.

Lighter equals faster, usually,& the slower in the accepted upper term of fast, is best, 117 grain all the way., put one through the ribs both sides on Roe Buck Sunday last, almost zero bruising , both front legs / shoulders in freezer, top off heart, chunk of lung stuck in offside pelt exit, job done.

Thanks folks it looks like it’s just going to be a fikkle affair to try and find a load which is a real pain

Shouldn't be ..., use Vhit N160 starting around the 42 and not exceeding 47 grains should be fine, you need to find your rifles sweet spot (if you feel the urge) or simply load somewhere in the middle.
What reloading manual are you reading ? This will give you a whole gambit of advice. My rifle (which is most likely different to yours) is happy with 47gr of N160 and 117gn bullets. No pressure signs on the cases/primers, no stiff bolt and sub 1MOA @ 150yds

I ended up finding this after a lot of playing around mate.tganjs very much tho
