Lighter equals faster, usually,& the slower in the accepted upper term of fast, is best, 117 grain all the way., put one through the ribs both sides on Roe Buck Sunday last, almost zero bruising , both front legs / shoulders in freezer, top off heart, chunk of lung stuck in offside pelt exit, job done.Depends somewhat on the weight of bullet One uses, but, ....the Nosler 110gn Accubond works exceedingly well with Viht. N560.
My own opinion is .25-06 works best with lighter weight bullets & heavier than 110gn is unnecessary for any UK deer.
