Best quad sticks

Seeland quad sticks best for practicality and cost

Bushwear are fine and priced well (if you aren't abusing them), however as @caberslash states, they will fall apart.... mine are f**ked, covered in rivets, scapa tape and screws now. But I am loathe to buy another pair at the moment!

Yep - mine snapped the lower 6 inches off on day two - hence I am now a roving ambassador for B&Q! Fun to make, brilliant to shoot off and cheap as chips if you forget or lose them!

Here we go again.......
Lots of info out here in the SD forums if you search - the thread below also running now is virtually identical.
Does the 5th leg fit directly onto the Blaser or did you have to modify?

A little bit of PVC tape to increase diameter, works a treat and light
I find that I need a tight but still sliding fit on the fifth leg to cater for elevation angle. I get the fifth leg foot out asap and fine tune the angle by sliding the top clamp up or down until I get the scope hairs on target. Its very quick and, using this on the Blaser sticks, means as well as panning I have control of the elevation too. I used a heat gun to "adjust" the Viper's clip tension. Works very well for me as you'll have seen from the photos. I always leave the leg on but guess I use it about 50% of the time - the remainder it remains clamped to one of the front legs.

I had to wrap the Blaser leg in a couple of turns of camo tape to make it work
If you look at my post 113 on here you can see from the different photos that the fifth leg is in different positions on the leg to which its is attached - "I used a heat gun to "adjust" the Viper's clip tension". This gives an elevation change capability as well as a panning function - works very well in practice for me (as per my post #30 above).

did you buy anything off the recommendations? I know I’m slow off the mark but 4stablesticks do a cracking set of affordable quad sticks.
