Best Quad sticks?

I have to say that the design of the limulus sticks is much better than nhs crutches!!

The fact that they collapse to a single stick has helped me more than once climbing up and down banks. They also double as a carry bar for deer when you forget your roe sackšŸ™ˆ

and you can get more than 2 for the price if the viper flex

I have 3 pairs of Limulus sticks. Original in pine which now have more plates than Barry Sheens legs. I have broken them so may times but I won't part with them. Now used for LR and air rifle. I think 2x pairs of oak which are used continuously. I shoot well over 75% off sticks. They took a while to get used to but now indispensable. Nit cold to touch and no metal click sounds. Carry rabbit and odd roe with them
Highly recommended.

Yep - B&Q all day long. 4 poles, 4 nuts and bolts, 4 holes and as Len the Dog already said a bit of webbing or old belt across the top of the front poles to give you fine adjustment by simply holding the rhs pole with your left hand (assuming right-handed shooter) and pulling the rifle with your forefinger or pushing it with your thumb.
A half-sized set also works really well for sitting/kneeling to get you up above bipod height when ground cover is too high. I use mine for rabbits with the .22 right through to reds with the .308.
Simples!

Totally agree. Use them for all walk and stalk stuff, CF RF and air…..

As said, great for carrying hocked rabbits too and I often use them with a bit of wood to hang munty carcasses in my shed overnight.

Any noise made by them when out and about sounds more natural, and although they weigh more than the metal quads, they are still easy to carry.

You need to get used to them and practice a bit at first, but muscle memory soon kicks in and becomes second nature.

Just a good bit of kitšŸ‘.

A progression for me:

DIY (green plastic-coated garden canes) > Southwick oak > Blaser carbon fibre

I love the quality of the Blasers, and particularly the traversing front pistol grip, which gives you +/- 10m traverse at 100 meters

l wouldn’t go out without quad sticks of some sort.

(l am looking to sell the Southwicks, but postage would be ruinously expensive…)

Similar story to above but Seeland Decoys > Fenris Al > Viperflex > Fenris Carbon > Blaser

I love the lightweight of both the Fenris Carbon and the Blaser but it’s the tracking function of the Blaser that makes them so special. As advised elsewhere on here, I have modified the Blaser ball to fit the Spartan adapter on all of my rifles so one fixing suits bipod, sticks, an ā€œoff the bonnet suction mountā€ and the quad Rest/carrier.

Looked at some at the BASC gamefair.
Looked nice, lightweight.

BUT £420 !!!

Nah stick to my £80 set.

I like the idea of the suction mount for a Blaser

Is yours the Spartan one or something else?

Pic please if you could

Hi, I’m about to invest in some quad sticks. I have seen photos and videos of making your own, but I’m gonna skip it until I’m more confident.

What brands and models do you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance
I have a set of Viper Flex Journey. They were expensive! I had to cover them in adhesive tape to stop them whistling in the wind. Not sure they were worth the expense. There are cheaper models out there, but I have seen some really good home made ones, made from garden canes and rubber bands.

If making the B&Q specials, use cabinet bolts and pop some bike innertube over them.

I started with B&Q specials, then moved to viperflex with 5th leg. I would go back but miss the 5th leg!
