While stalking in the rain I found my Swarovski binoculars were not that good however when I tried my mates Zeiss RF binocs they were superb. I wonder if the coating on my Swaros needs a service after all they are 15 years old whereas the Zeiss were brand new.
Lieca great in the rain mine are 10 + and have been out twice a week and more. The better the glass the more they should be used in pour conditions . That's like buying a leather suite Bambi and covering it up lol.
i like the idea of finding a cure for this issue, from the replies no one seems to have a difinitive answer,
buggered if i would place a liquid on lenses without some proof that it works and more importantly won't damage the lenses......
My biggest problem is stopping myself breathing on the eyepiece lenses & fogging them up!! I get the same with my spex!! especially when wearing a cammo mask.
