I also use the 7x65r. Yes it does have some recoil with heavy loads, but try a 139gn bullet - i use one trundling along at 2650fps. Kills well and mild recoil. And like you I dislike really light triggers - should be sortable though.Mine is a beast, it’s in 7x65R with a trigger so light a bad thought sets it off and a truly horrendous recoil.
I could manage the trigger or the recoil on their own but I just can’t handle both.
Trigger isn’t user adjustable either.
It does look good tho’
Thanks I’ll have a poke around, currently I’m using 173 grain ammo and I think I have around 95% of the available stock in the country in the safe,it’s not easy to come byI also use the 7x65r. So easy to use over the head protection and just slide it down when needed, if you remember!!Handled one the other day. Stunning bit of kit.
Question tho - do you guys wear hearing protection when out with them?
And NOISY when not wearing hearing protection. Fabulous rifles though.Mine is a beast, it’s in 7x65R with a trigger so light a bad thought sets it off and a truly horrendous recoil.

It's the remembering in the heat of the moment that's the problem! So easy to use over the head protection and just slide it down when needed, if you remember!!
Or keep them on as ear warmers in the colder months![]()
Black edition, gold block and trigger with grade 6 wood, cheers mateLooks like you have a gold nitrided jaeger tilting block. Nicely done as my standard block has managed to get some rust discoloration after many hours in the rain.

StunningWent out this morning and blooded the rifle, very happy, a real pleasure to use.
Not even owned the rifle for 24 hours but I know its a keeper, my advice to anyone thinking of buying one....do it

Yes the 173gn loads are punchy -especially RWS stuff. They are great for Boar and big stags, but lighter bullets are fine for anything else. Thanks I’ll have a poke around, currently I’m using 173 grain ammo and I think I have around 95% of the available stock in the country in the safe,it’s not easy to come by
