Boy's first time shooting.

Evenin all, Took my lad (11 y/o) to my local clay ground for his first time shooting today. Bought him a cheap single barrel 20g from a member here, picked up a box of 21 gram shells. He had a couple of 'practise shots just to get the feel of the gun and know what the recoil feels like... first clay launched he absolutely obliterated it! The look of joy and accomplishment on his face is one I'll remember for a very, very long time.
It was a hella windy day and he didn't hit much else... but safe to say... he's caught the bug and asked when we could go again!
Not to be all sentimental and ****... but it was a great dad/kid day.
He wanted to keep the empty case from his first 'kill' 🤣

My lad had his first shots today too. He is 10 and we were at the game fair. We went on the CPSA stand and the lady instructor was great. She chose a 20 bore for him and talked him through safety, stance etc. His first ever shot he missed, the second he hit, the grin on his face!

Magic innit! 😁

I took my small boy when he was eleven and he shot a Webley & Scott 9mm bolt action garden gun I had on some clay pigeons held up on sticks. I then bought him a AYA No4 in 20 bore but as the stock is presently too long for him he'll have to wait until it fits him. So am presently looking for something cheap to have the stock cut down.
