Brattonsound - is it something I said?

I have Brattonsound cabinet since I started shooting and bought it based on their reputation for excellent customer service.
Never had an issue with the cabinet it self but recently lost one of the keys.
Since locksmiths do not stock this key I contacted Brattonsound coiple of times by phone and email andboth times I was askedfor the address and they will just send me a blank. Nothing happened. I then thought I will just buy ne lock with new keys. Several contracts later and promises they will send one still nothing happened. I did offer to pay tor the blank and the lock since it was my fault for loosing the key in the first place. I am just disappointed.
Since you can't buy these lock nor keys anywhere not sure what to do.

Any good?

Not really shure Will the chippy. I have not opened the locking mechanism to see how the whole thing works with locking lugs. If you have used one of these I will have a go.

These any help @safer ?

or even a new lock

Mandel Chokes also do all the spares too, but not sure of their postage costs:-

Some years ago I had the outer door lock on one of their cabinets fail (the middle guide pin for the key came loose and so whilst it was fortunately just about possible to lock/unlock it was a real faff and fiddle).

I've just checked my emails from back then (2013) and although I mentioned in my email the cabinet was less than a year old I neither offered nor was asked for proof of purchase and a replacement lock and key set was sent out free of charge with absolutely no quibble. The reply to my email came through in about 30 minutes.

I had even admitted that somehow I'd got the key in the lock the wrong way round so they could have feasibly argued it had been forced/user error.

A real shame if that level of service has slipped.

I have had inner cabinet keys sent but there was correctly a good amount of security checks first . I would rate the firm highly from my own experience

That surprises me (that they would need to check security)- as I recall they say they sensibly keep absolutely no record of keys issued and I don't think the code is visible on the outside of those inner locks. Did you supply them the code on the spare key?

It was a few years back now , simply cannot remember the details now . Just remember they made a good effort to ensure i was Genuine , they had my old address where the safe was first bought for but i dont remember much more detail .

I know what you are saying. I have only heard good things about them. My friend had a lock failed and they sent a new lock within a couple of days. Not really sure what is going on here because I did speak and email them on both occasions.
I would not really buy the keys nor lock from eBay. That is just me.

I had a similar issue but they did send me a key blank FOC and I took it to a proper security key cutting shop and they copied a spare I’d kept. They asked me where I’d got the blank as it was normally retailed at about £20 so they obviously felt cheated !

If you're ready to replace the lock, why not take an electronic one? So much more comfortable without having to faff around with keys.

I also had a key break and got nowhere requesting a blank or a replacement. Perhaps replacing the lock would be the better option.

I had a jammed double bit lock on my brattonsound safe. Fortunately jammed unlocked. I bought a lock from this ebay link (to a separate, unconnected address I add). To my untrained eye it looked completely identical to the one I removed.
Brattonsound were not very helpful...

Not sure it is straight forward replacement since the safe has multi point losking mechanism. If I could I probably would.

Does it have handle for opening the bolts or is this also done via they key?
If there is a handle for the mechanical work and the key only blocks the mechanism I‘m pretty sure it would work.
If you‘re unsure I would have a local locksmith take a look at it.

There is no handle on Brattonsound safes. Everything is done by the key.
