BROWNING A-Bolt Magazine retention Spring

Hi all, I’ve owned a trusty little A-bolt composite stalker for around 10yrs now and although not flash it’s been a great little Workhorse. It was my 1st CF rifle & is now my dedicated NV rig

I was out foxing lastnight and the retaining spring that clips the magazines to the hinged floor plate broke off 🫣

The rifle is still usable as is but I fear that unless replaced it’s just a matter of time before the mags are lost to the long-grass on a dark and windy Cornish night.

Does anyone know where I may be able to source one or is anyone Sat on a spare one they don’t need?…

I really like the hinged floor plate & detachable mag set up but I’ve always felt the springs were the weak link in the design🤔

Did you find a spring ???
Same thing has just happened to mine on my browning 22 hornet a bolt

I coukd theoretically sort a bulk order that comes over to the U.K via the US.

Freight is notoriously expensive there, sales tax, forwarding in the U.K., etc so looking at it from a ‘is it worth the hassle’ perspective. Sending 10 units over would likely mean cost per unit here of around £20 - and that’s break even and just to be a nice guy.

My brother in law can forward from the US. But every time he helps I send him $50 just as a thanks for the time, plus P&P and cost of the unit. So, I can help if anyone is desperate, but it can’t be for $5 unless you’re willing to wait until I travel there next February!
