Possibly just the perfect storm ?
Nra takeover at a time of FAC increases and having to possibly book through the NRA
For range use .
How will the members react ? will members abandon the bsrc will members abandon the nra also ?
and it's not just a moving target club ( it's a club that has moving targets as part of the bsrc.

Some of us already left the NRA. I don't really want to pay an organisation that's actively engaged in destroying my club and my sport. What sort of racket is that? Plus I couldn't stand seeing that man on the editorial of the rubbish magazine every quarter. And I don't need yet another insurance policy. But I'm sad about this, it leaves me without anywhere to practice. Last time this happened was when they rebuilt the sports centre where former university club was based without a rifle range. For all I know the club still exists on paper but without having anywhere to shoot, there wasn't much point. Took me many years to get back into shooting after that, and now it's happening again.

PM - the BSRC will remain a Home Office Approved club REGARDLESS of what the Trustees do to us. They will NOT kill the club off, albeit we may have to adapt to it being different to the one we’ve all come to love. Sad times but out of the ashes the Phoenix will arise - don’t lose hope!

That’s not quite right. The CNC will not be using it at the weekend, and the planning application refers to the land around the range.
I am surprised about handing the BSRC range to the BSG team. It’s not the business decision I would have made. Is there somebody from BSRC giving them advice?

Then get All the lovely expenses that you can claim 😉 😘 I'm sure the queue will be quite long 😀

Additional alternative weekday range capacity will be provided at the Sporting Rifle range complex.

Highly unlikely NRA members will get to use the sporting rifle complex for load testing from a bench at the weekend.

In the negotiations. After all they have a history of underhanded dealings with other clubs. Imo. He hasn't finished shafting the bsrc yet .! he will come for the equipment and offer you peanuts for it and then ask you to help run it and fix it should there be any problems ? but as normal there will be others who will sell my soul to keep them happy . But Going on past dealings with the nra you should have seen this coming ? now you are going to have to explain this to the membership 🤔 good luck

At the time I read this as a bit of an over reaction - little did I know of the devious moves that had been going on in the background… time will show who the players were but individuals know who they are & should hang their heads in shame, if they have any common decency they’ll also resign their BSRC memberships.

BSRC have now vacated the clubhouse that was built in 1998 by members - it is now a sad shell waiting to be turned into who knows what for the entertainment of the few with their range rovers & pockets deep enough to play the game.
