Up here in the northeast of England you still see a lot of pure breed whippets
But sadly most of the Sunday morning race tracks are gone as are the pitman who raced them

Oh yeah,I can still remember being down the creek with the old man as a 4-5 year old with his whippet. We always had working dogs.

If he tucks his tail that far between his legs and you can only see the tip hanging from his chest and shakes and trembles as if he’s got Parkinson’s I think you got a whippet
We have two in my family and both completely different size( hair) fur and temperament and viewed both sets of parents before buying
