Cernunnos Motor Cycle Club is a pagan-orientated motor bike club that was formed in 1996 by a small band of people with a number of common interests: two of these interests are biking and having a good time.

I'm a member and have done some guiding for club members in Scotland over the last few years. It certainly does fill a niche but it's a very successful venture and the concept is really quite clever. Yes it's expensive and no it's not for everyone but all the experiences I've had with ckub members have been positive. I feared they'd be snobby and up their own arses but the opposite is generally true. As for the price, well who wouldn't aim for the higher end of the market when starting a business? I joined because I moved from Ireland and had no hunting permissions and needed help with my FAC application. I also love the excuse to head down to the smoke a couple of times a year to meet other members and have a catchup over a beer.

I think if it works for you great ! Obviously its not for everyone but that’s life , my only concern is the false advertising about their course being needed as a “ crucial step to getting fac or deer cal “ misguided at best downright lies at worst

I'm not a member but have found the County Deer Stalking website and Peter Jones who runs it to be useful sources of information, particularly their stalking videos and equipment reviews. All credit to them for finding a niche with the Capreolus Club. It's not going to be for everyone and doesn't have to be.
As for clubs generally, I tend to go with the Groucho Marx dictum quoted above

This I believe is their own made up course. To my knowledge it is not a recognised qualification as DMQ Level 1 and 2 are. But then some people are easily parted from their money.
Many people use paid stalking as a "good reason to possess" which will come under help for their application...

Indeed but no need to join the club could quite easily book a couple of separate paid stalks and would be much cheaper , I fear it’s more to do with the magic course that the police love
