Ok folks

I have a roll of NGO carcass tags ....I've tried every bl00dy pen in the house and all start ok for a second then fade out / stop working when writing on their tags .

What kinda pens you guys using please!!!!!?

Cheers
Paul.

I don’t think I’ve ever used NGO tags but a basic sharpie pen has worked fine on every other tag I’ve used. In fact, a basic biro seems to work fine too.

I'll try buying another sharpie ...maybe one I've got is not 100% as one I'm using just fades after filling half the tag in ! 🤷‍♂️

If using a ballpoint I find it works if you put the tag on a pad of paper but struggles if put straight on a hard surface.

Pack of Sharpie 100% - especially when the tags are likely cold, damp and it’s likely you are too, it’s getting late, dark, pishing down etc. and the last thing you needs is a pen that don’t work. I say pack, as some bugger always disappears with them so hide plenty about the place.

+1 for a fine point sharpie, let them dry for a bit before you put them on or they’ll end up unreadable.

Flat under layer and a DRY tag any ball ok r should work fine - but not tried the NGO type either, so they could be made of some different material than every other tag I’ve tried
