Supposedly RedeX petrol additive "dissolves" carbon. So a soak in that might work?

Back up, back up? I've had nothing else to cook on for 25 years,,,,

Have got a refurb old one fitted with an electric conversion.in new place...just waiting for 22kwh generator to turn up for back up.

Not missing oil and servicing.

Suffice to say our local AGA expert has converted to electric. He does all the re-enamelling, all refurbishment, nothing he doesn't know. Showed me how to service my oil fired AGA. The joys of periodic cleaning out of the burner and choked fuel feed pipe. Lifting out the bloody heavy hot plate is the bit I love...
