Club membership query

If you're coming to Norfolk consider Chris Rogers on the Euston Estate. Although by the sounds of things there are plenty of opportunities in Sussex.
Is that the guy that does the video's on YouTube?Seems like a real down to earth type and very proficient too!🦌

Plenty of deer in West Sussex but verry hard to get a permission.
Son in law lives and shoots there but cannot get any deer perm and his Family is well known in the area .
Due to being the longest serving family in Sussex fire service .

Not sure if he takes clients as he’s the Estate stalker?🧐🤔
One company I can also recommend having been out with them a few times is DGVM at Newmarket. Jim Riley and his team are spot on, with loads of land (and they run the BASC East of England scheme). I did my DSC2 with Jim and am going back in Nov. The only comment I would make is have a sense of humor if you own a Gaymoor (like I do) :) 👍 better still dont admit to it and say you shoot .260

Except the fact that you have been had, and take some of the advice already quoted above. Whatever you decide for the future, check it out on this site first. The members will never all agree on anything, but you usually get good advice from the majority.

I believe this club takes a stand at the Stalking Show , next weekend!

Don’t expect they will be very busy with SD gang. Maybe even a few passing p take remarks , Well deserved.

I watched a couple of their U Tube efforts, not my cup of tea.

A bit like folk who enthuse about driven game shooting who have no idea what goes on on the other side of the hedge. Wkers.

In fairness, this club and its ilk are probably the one topic on which we form a consensus. 😂

OP - just one to watch, you will find with other paid stalking that there may also be expensive trophy fees on the sheet sometimes - for example my regular chap would charge me £450 for a palmated fallow buck.

This isn’t something to worry about overmuch, explain to the guide what you’re after and what your budget is and then they will plan accordingly. I was lining up on a muntjac recently when my guide realised it was a really good buck and stopped me - saying ‘don’t shoot that, it’ll cost you…’ 😂

Hi all, Just a quick update for those who asked — I’ve now left the Capreolus Club. After initially joining and paying for one month, a change in personal circumstances meant I couldn’t continue aswell .The club requested the remainder of the annual fee (£1250) and invoiced this to me, I reviewed the terms and found no clear obligation to commit to a 12-month contract or to pay in full if leaving early, especially since I hadn’t used any of their services as essentially no services come with the membership, stalks and club days are extra. Clause 7.4 only refers to resigning after a year, not that you’re locked in for a year. I’ve responded formally and, based on consumer law and advice, I’m confident in my position. Biggest con of a company.

I find it quite funny at times with some of these clubs. One often see's a post on social media claiming one of their members has just shot a gold medal Roe buck, with a photo on the post to accompany the claim.
Well I know at times its hard to judge a head, but honestly whoever judges such heads at times needs to get their eyes tested. Its all about placing bait in the water for novices to swallow, thinking they will be on ground that supports large numbers of deer with large heads. When in fact its more than likely ground that supports very little or is shot out, or its a photo of some one else's deer from ground not belonging to the club or syndicate.

Some of these people even put photos of ground that is not even theirs in the first place, and never was. The very same syndicate recently tried joining on here again.

Guess what :banned:
The big problem is, too many people who want firearms and know where to go, they then result in getting into being swallowed up by these so called clubs, thinking it’s going to help them achieve what they want to achieve.

To the OP, an experience like this is not on, and does our sector no favours.
Am sure the sales pitch from your provider didn't intend to skin you alive, especially if your tweed breek pockets were not that cavernous, this outfit is good if it suits your time/financial circumstances.

So, @JRodgers74, If you fancy, please give me a yell via PM. I will do a free stalk in Sussex, no stalk fee, no shot fee, no trophy fee, no extras because the sun is over the local church on a weekday.
Just a good stalk on an amazing estate.
The fee is a bacon butty !

So what is/was the £1300 for if no stalks or club days are included?
