Custom and Semi custom rifle photos/porn

I bought this from Edinburgh Rifles in 2019 when my game dealer went to head and neck only for a while. I think it's orginally an SD members @Blackfell?
It's so hideous it makes me laugh but it is truly brilliant and now I really treasure it
There is no rifle I'd rather have in my hands when it matters.
Rem M700
22" fluted 8 twist 243
Jewell
McMillan Lazzeroni thumbhole
Zeiss 6-24x50 FL (mil) in Burris Signature Zees -10moa

The barrelled action and the stock look like two separate things , it would also displease me haha

But it clearly hammers.

Another rifle built by @Ronin for me.
This time I've gone for 6.5 PRC and matched it to a PSE Evo stock.
Barrel is a Phoenix (sassen) cut barrel finished off at 25", in a semi weight profile and spiral fluted.
SA precision bottom metal
Sako 2 stage trigger with bolt release set to around 1 3/4lbs.

To say I'm happy with how it turned out is an understatement. The Evo stock has made the rifle really well balanced and lighter than I expected.

Unfortunately this forum doesn't let me post decent pics anymore due to file size restraints

what weight does that lovely setup come in at
Not sure yet. But I'll get it weighed next time it's out of the cabinet. Certainly lighter than my 6mmXC setup which was just over 12lb including sling, bipod, magazine, scope, and moderator

Over the years, I've put together 3 "semi-custom" target rifles using second hand M595 actions, plus GRS, Anschutz and Walther stocks. I like the comfort and the walnut.
The RPA (6BR) had been professionally bedded when I got it, so just tweaking and removal of ironmongery required to make it fit..... still a bit on the heavy side at 20lbs, though. Recently re-barrelled by Hut 60 at Bisley with an 8 twist Brux at 31".
The GRS 6.5 is not bedded, just factory inlet for the M595. The other two M595 223's had plenty of room for the two Tikka actions, so I stocked them myself.
It's not rocket science, just takes a bit of time, I used a cheap pillar drill with an x-y table, a routing bit, and a hammer and chisel.
And, they all shoot sub 0.5 MOA....for not a lot of money, relatively speaking.

Initial load development is proving it to be a fast barrel. Even with reduced loads to break in the barrel I was seeing speeds up from 3150ft/s to 3180ft/s.

Found the plateau at around 3240ft/s during load development and grouping within 0.5" MOA. Now anyone out on Saturday would have known there was a bit of a bluster on the go. So I was happy enough with that.

This was using RS70 powder behind a 130gr Sierra Gamechanger. 25" barrel.

I'll load up some more with slightly adjusted seating depths and see if I can get a calm day to see what it can really do.

The rifle is proving to be a tack driver, and a bit of a tweak to the seating depth, seen the groups tighten to 0.3" and the chronograph certainly liked what it seen.

With that done, I took the rifle out for its first outing to see how it would perform. The deer were playing ball, so I managed to get myself a nice freezer filler for the rifles first shot in anger.
