Cut resistant gloves

I’ve just bought myself a pair of cut resistant/ grade 5 gloves. ‘No-cry’ is the brand, washable and they fit under latex gloves. Needing only to protect my left hand I take one with me and leave one at home.
In hindsight, I should have bought them before I tried to amputate my left index finger. Oh how I cried.
if you don’t use these, maybe think about it.

use them for work everyday, many an accident stopped by them .Stanley knives and humans are a bad combination.

I have a proper butcher's chain mail glove to use in the larder on my right hand (I am sinistral).

Wouldn't be without it. Very interested to try a good quality cut resistant glove for in the field, if a rightie would like to sell me their spare right hand one.

My hand is medium to large I suppose, but I think the fabric sort are slightly stretchy ?

Yup silver ninjas for me too.
Word of warning though for those who dont already know. They can be cut thru, seen it more than a few times luckily no major cuts for the lads, but worth mentioning not to be over confident/stupid with them

These ones were marketed as ambidextrous. Now I’m not really sure about that. But they do fit on either hand

I got these off Amazon. Hacked them a few times, seemed pretty cut resistant. I wear them in the field as well as in the larder.

A bit tedious, but safety always is.

Figure that one out ? Apparently they where to aid dexterity for floor layers, I’ve been fitting 37 years and 98% of my cuts have been my fingers, one arm and leg twice

How do they cut the fingers off cut proof gloves?

I have a butchers glove. One real unexpected benefit is that you can grip the hide much better when skinning.

I would add the same comment on Cut 5 gloves, I am a Health and Safety guy at work and, when Cut 5s first came out was asked to test them. They are certainly better than standard gloves but don't put too much faith in them, especially after prolonged use/ repeated washing. Anything with Kevlar, TenActiv or Dyneema in them is a pretty good shout.
