Deer ponies?

Hi guys, I have been around for ever but started breeding Highland about 15 years ago. I have sold a few as deer ponies because their temperament was particularly laid back. Prices were a bit higher than riding ponies (which there is no shortage of). I've given up breeding now but still enjoy training, so I am wondering what demand there is out there for deer ponies and what prices they achieve? I am not particularly interested in money (I keep ponies because I enjoy their company) but we have to eat! Does height matter? What about "show standards", i.e. what about white markings, pedigree breeding, and stud book registrations? Or are you just interested that a pony does the job? Do your staff handle the ponies or do you hire in experienced horsey staff in from elsewhere? It seems we are all going to have to go "green" whether we like it or not. I'd just like a few pointers to ensure that I am going in the right direction!:)
