Deer Sled

Have bought a parforce sled which has a handle rigged at the front and back.

I intend to pull it behind a quad and am thinking that some webbing secured around the sides and coming out through the handle might be better to ensure the handle isn't under too much pressure.

What do othe folks think?

Being one for over egging the pudding also hard from a small picture
Then I would look a length of ratchet strap 50mm wide type, large penny washers 6mm gutter bolts with 2 penny washers per bolt, you can burn a hole through webbing with an old phillips screwdriver and plumbers gas torch makes a neat hole.
Edit on the front I would have a ring with the webbing through so it can run left right with your tow rope.

First 3 pictures are of the Junior Jet sled, the last 2 of the bigger model. I use the centre eye to winch the sledge into the back of my vehicle and the outer 2 for a clip on drag rope. I have slipped that over the tow bar on a couple of occasions to tow the sledge with a particularly heavy fallow back to the gralloch location. The Moose kit fitted to my reinforcement on the larger Jet sled is for towing behind the quad using some old aerial target towing bits I had lying around.

Forgot to say that the centre eye also gets used to attach the end of my petrol capstan winch line and on some of the slopes, that's a fair load! They have stood up to this use very well IMHO.
