Devon and Cornwall variation

They've got my doctors report and I've filled in the online forms however at what point do I need to send my FAC and SGC to the police? On previous paper based variations I've had to send them in with the paperwork but I don't recall seeing anything about this in the online forms or subsequent automated emails ive received.

I'm in the West Midlands area, and recently put in for a variation. I also sent an email to the Firearms Admin Dept of West Midlands asking this very question, and got a reply that once the application had been approved, they would email me asking me to send in my FAC. It has now all gone through ok. If I was you I'de email your admin dept asking them the same.

Why are you sending a medical report for a variation?
It's only required for renewals.

Wasn't aware that a medical proforma was required for a variation?
Not D&C, but I just sent in paper copy of variation request form, covering letter, certificate and cheque.

I sent my renewal in using the on line portal on D and C ‘s website

Sent it in March

Received new one in May

I was not asked for my old FAC at any stage before, during or after the process

Did you actually mean variation?

If so, then no medical report required

I’d keep my FAC until it is asked for

Sorry for the misunderstanding, doctors report was only for my renewal. For variation i only sent the variation request and my FAC

Had a call from D&C on Friday, looks like my renewal is going through ok. One issue is I requested a .17HMR and due to the number of guns I own i now need an alarm (2 shotguns, 1 rimfire and 2 centrefire). I asked what I needed and they were pragmatic so 1 day later thanks to amazon im sorted. As to my certificates they've said i keep them and they are valid till they expire at which point I should use my new ones.

About par for the course alarm wise, A&s want an alarm 6 to 10 licenceable firearms. Any more they want professionally installed monitored alarm.

It madness different force all over the place when it comes to numbers and alarms I was told by my recently retired fao some count shotguns rifles mods fac air rifles etc as a complete overall number where as he said he only counts the fac rifles towards that number id imagine it changed again now with the new faos in west Mercia
