Different rifles same scope model

Hi All,

Just after opinions on if you all use the same model of scope across your hunting calibres? I have a scope I really like and am considering selling my Swaro Z4i to fund a second of the same so I have the same scope on the two diff rifles.

Thoughts on if using the same scope is of benefit or disbenefit please…..

I use exactly the same model scope on both my .270 and my .204Ruger. It's not a 'posh' job like a Swaro, but what does it matter when I like it and it does what I want it to do ? ;) It's a Hawke Vantage 6-24x44 SF.
I don't 'knob twiddle' when there's something to be shot. I judge (or LRF) the range, add the appropriate amount of elevation, judge the windage and hit the 'Go' button, so being a clear and accurate 1/2 mil-dot reticule and a good clear sight picture the scope does all I want of it TBH. I had one on the .204 first, but when change was due for the .270 it was a no-brainer as far as I could see.

The day I miss something and can prove it was the scopes fault I may reconsider, but I think that day might be a long time coming.

I've got a Leupold Mark 4 M3 10x on several rifles - it's a scope I really like, so nothing to re-learn using a few of the same make/model in that case, plus it has the optical clarity I like and the reticule I like
In the past I've also used a S&B 6x42 on my main .22 rifle as well as on a .223, for similar reasons to the above

I have a Swarovski Z6 with BRH reticle on both my stalking rifles. I'm a firm believer in trying to keep my rifles as similar as possible. My target rifles have similar Sightron scopes.

I have a Burris 4x on the one and a swaro z4I on the other. Really like the 4x and the warranty etc makes me think safe for a stalking rifle than over fancy. I have a vortex on a range rifle for knob twiddling 🤣

I’ve got 2 different Swarvo scopes on my stalking rifles and the zoom operates in a different direction on each. It ****es me right off!!! Really wish they were both the same.

So, thanks all for the advice. Decided to sell the Z4i and get a second Burris so both deer rifles match. I like the feel of it and it saves me worrying about the price of the glass on the rifle when I am out.

Anyone fancy a Z4i it’s in the classifieds now
