Dirty Muntjac Skull Prep

Hi All,

I found a Muntjac Buck skull whilst out stalking and am hoping to clean it up. It is pretty badly stained, any ideas how to get it looking white again? Pictures here:



Any help much appreciated!!

White paint? Why do you want to Tom? You must be able to shoot something better than that in Oxfordshire?

I've had a few sent to me in that state. I've used industrial peroxide at 35% and it never brings it back to brilliant white. As Dexter said above, probably worth a paint after its decreased?

Thanks for the advice! What would you advise painting it with? Watered down matte white paint?

Look up a lad on Facebook called Rob Follett of Exmoor Antler Creations. I believe he paints his skull caps before setting cast antlers for people.
